Regain Your Youthful Glow

RF Microneedling, which stands for Radio-Frequency Microneedling, is a cutting-edge procedure that combines microneedling and radiofrequency energy to tighten the skin's surface and improve texture issues such as acne scars and hyperpigmentation. The process involves using ultrafine needles to create microscopic injuries, which stimulate your body's natural healing response and promote the growth of new collagen and elastin, resulting in a smoother complexion and healthier skin. This treatment requires no incisions and has minimal downtime compared to traditional facelift surgery.

Is RF Microneedling Right for Me?

RF Microneedling is a popular treatment because it is suitable for most skin types anywhere on the body, any time of the year, unlike lasers that use light energy. Additionally, RF Microneedling is an excellent option if you are not yet ready for surgical treatment to:

  • Minimize the common signs of aging
  • Firm up the skin
  • Improve tone and pigmentation

Your Initial Consultation

To see if RF Microneedling is right for you, book a consultation with Dr. Hamawy at our Princeton office. He'll discuss your expectations, analyze your skin, and might suggest additional treatments like fillers for optimal results. Progress will be tracked through photographs. If you're a suitable candidate for RF Microneedling, you can schedule your treatment, but there's no immediate pressure to do so. This consultation aims to provide comfort and information, ensuring you're well-equipped to make an informed decision. Pricing discussions are also part of the consultation.

How It Works

During the RF Microneedling procedure, which typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour, small punctures are made in the skin. Radiofrequency energy is then delivered to the treatment area, heating the skin and stimulating collagen production. Most patients report that the procedure is relatively painless. Multiple treatments are usually necessary to achieve optimal results with RF Microneedling. Most patients notice significant improvements within three treatments, but treating deeper acne scarring may require up to six treatments.

Treatment Time

The duration of each treatment session typically lasts for one hour. However, the amount of time spent on each session may vary depending on the following factors:

  • The size of the treatment site
  • Penetration depth
  • The number of passes necessary for your aesthetic needs

Recovery and Results

After RF Microneedling, your skin may appear slightly red for up to three days, which can be easily covered with cosmetics. Because this treatment stimulates your body to produce collagen and elastin, you should see initial results about six weeks after treatment. Optimal results generally appear approximately twelve weeks after the last treatment. While RF Microneedling can produce noticeable results and is often referred to as a non-surgical facelift, it’s keep to remember that these results are typically less dramatic than those achieved through plastic surgery. However, less invasive treatments like RF Microneedling have considerably less downtime and offer quickly visible results. In contrast, surgical procedures such as face and neck lifts provide more dramatic results that can last longer
