Turn Back The Hands of Time

As we know, one of the frustrating marks of aging is subcutaneous fat loss, which causes muscles under the skin to be more visible. The result is a loss of some of our youthful vitality in our face and expression. Thankfully, dermal fillers offer an elegant corrective. Although each brand of dermal filler has its unique focus, they all work towards smoothing out wrinkles and lines, ultimately leaving you with a youthful, refreshed, and rejuvenated appearance. At PrincetonMD, we’re proud to provide a range of dermal fillers tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient. Our dermal fillers are all highly safe, with a low risk of adverse reactions.

  • Bring a renewed sense of vitality to their face

Choosing the Best Fit for You

We’re pleased to offer a varied selection of the most popular dermal fillers today. Some of our most popular options include:

Restylane

A hyaluronic acid filler family made from biodegradable gel and natural substances. It treats nasolabial folds, marionette, and vertical lip lines and can temporarily augment the lips. Results usually last six to nine months.

Juvéderm

A popular and practical line of hyaluronic acid fillers that can treat the same concerns as Restylane while adding volume to the cheeks. The duration of results varies depending on the specific Juvéderm formula used.

Radiesse

A calcium hydroxylapatite-based filler that uses smooth injectable microspheres produced without animal byproducts. It provides short-term volume and promotes collagen growth for longer-term results.

Bellafill

A polymethylmethacrylate collagen filler for treating nasolabial folds around the nose and mouth and scars. It is the longest-lasting dermal filler, with results lasting up to five years.

Aquamid

A Polyalkylimide-based filler for deeper wrinkles and folds, with long-lasting results. It is biocompatible and doesn't require an allergy test. When injected, it forms a collagen layer within four weeks.

Juvéderm Volbella XC

Subtly enhances lips and softens lip lines, with results lasting up to a year.

Sculptra

A polylactic acid stimulator that triggers collagen growth. It's ideal for the lower face, with gradual results occurring over a few months. It typically requires three monthly treatments for full effect and has long-lasting results with occasional touch-ups.

Facial Fat Transfer

An injection procedure that uses natural fat cells to smooth lines and wrinkles and add natural volume. Fat cells are harvested via liposuction, purified, and injected into the face for a soft, natural look.

Start with a Consultation

Begin your journey by meeting with us and seeing if dermal fillers are the right fit for you. During your consultation at our Princeton office, our board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Hamawy, will assess your desired results, skin quality, flexibility, and medical history. With his reputation for excellence in surgery and facial enhancements, you can trust that he will bring a sense of artistry and skill to the proceedings. He is dedicated to achieving natural-looking results, avoiding overfilling, and ensuring you look fresh and youthful.

How the Procedure Works

The dermal filler injection process is a quick and painless procedure that takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Before injection, the treatment area is prepped with a topical anesthetic or ice to minimize discomfort. The filler is injected into specific face areas using a fine needle, and the number and location of injections depend on the concerns being addressed. After the injection, mild swelling or redness may occur at the injection site, but it should subside within a few hours.

Recovery and Results

After the dermal filler injection, you can resume normal activities with minimal recovery time. Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area for 24 hours to prevent the filler from shifting. Mild swelling or redness may occur but should subside within hours to days. For best results, you should avoid strenuous exercise and excessive sun exposure for 24 hours. You can expect noticeable results within two weeks to a month, with effects lasting 9 to 19 months, depending on the type of filler.
